Artist :::
Linda F. Kelly
(BVO): What has been the driving inspiration behind your latest artist works?
Linda F. Kelly: My life's experiences of living in Houston, Texas and LeBeau, Louisiana
are my true inspiration.
(BVO): What was the first piece that you painted?
Linda F. Kelly:My first painting was School House. It is a water color detailing
kids going to school at a one room school house. It will be on exhibit at
the Breakfast Klub during December 2006.
(BVO): What do you feel is needed for an artist to suceed in the business of
art?
Linda F. Kelly: An artist will be successful in the business if they have an
effective marketing plan, strong network, good business ethics, and professional
and business training. In addition, the artist must set realistic goals
and most importantly deliver a good product.
(BVO): How long have you painting?
Linda F. Kelly: I have been painting for 3 years.
(BVO): How hard is it to sell a painting?
Linda F. Kelly: The difficulty of selling a painting varies as does the view of the
potential buyer. As the adage goes, "beauty is in the eye of the
beholder", art can be sold pretty easily if the buyer feels that it is
a love at first sight piece. Other times, it requires more explanation
or convincing.
(BVO): How can readers purchase some of your paintings?
Linda F. Kelly: Readers can contact me at (713) 417 - 8261 to request an appointment
for a private showing. My website will be available early 2007.
(BVO): When is your next showcase?
Linda F. Kelly: I am planning to have my next exhibit in early 2007.
I will let you know about my website and 2007 exhibit details once they
become available.
Thank you.
